The only 90s band that I still seriously dig is Alice in Chains. When I was in highschool I was all about Black Metal and Industrial but I can't get into any of it anymore. But I still jam heaven beside you, man in the box, we die young, etc once or twice a month. Good luck with the farm. I have a really decent plot myself but Im almost never home now days so its just getting overgrown and Im not gaining any relevant experience working it. Do you make your own booze? Thats actually what I am the most interested in. So far I've had some pretty respectable success making wine but since I haven't had time to take care of my trees and plants this last year Im assuming this year will be a wash basically.

Livci, consider this a "like". I can't possibly follow all the legit good writers and frankly don't have the energy. I have spent the last decad e building a farm and I miss the interaction with the philosophical world. I buried a sheep today. Totally meaningless death of stupidity. It was more Korn than Vivaldi. But I look for stuff that's sublime (not the band, come on) and gives meaning. Hope. Vibrancy in early spring and crazy abundance in fall. But its the real world not the Instagram influencer one. Predators kill stuff and rain doesn't fall when I need it.

I still think 90s music is beautiful. Many of that decade found faith and meaning after we backpacked across Thailand and realized pretty good is amazing.

Keep writing!

The only thing I came to realize is: there's not a "single thing" that can solve all the problems.

And maybe it is this narrow focus to which we all are subjected that make us think "Nothing ever happens". Things happen, but are we aware of it ?

Very thoughtful and deep as Vanusha said. I was surprised such philosophical stuff was online from someone so young. Yeah Darya the dead daughter quite possibly name sake.

Possible big changes ahead for Belorus when Luka retires.

My family name originates from Belorus/Ukraine but a few generations lived in Poland then ended up in Germany before the first world war.

Too deep and meaningful for a substack post. Where are you from? Why do you care about Russia? You have the sensitivity and authenticity of the east, very rare thing.

Thanks, I grew up in California but spent the last 7-8 years living in Russia and Belarus. My family is here, my future is here and probably Ill never set foot in the US again.
